Once printed, you have the flexibility to visit any preferred lab across Canada for your blood tests. It&#8217;s important to remember that lab requisitions are only accepted at appropriate clinics within the province where they were issued.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as your results are in, we&#8217;ll send you a notification. Results can take up to two weeks to be processed. Our online doctors and nurse practitioners can provide blood test requisitions on your behalf at their discretion, based on what they decide is medically appropriate. Please note that we&#8217;re not able to guarantee that the doctor or nurse practitioner will order any specific tests.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6>Are there restrictions on lab work ordered via Maple?<\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Maple lab requisitions are available in most provinces. Currently, requisitions are not available in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. In Nova Scotia, these are available only to patients through the VirtualCareNS program in the Full Care stream.<\/p>\n<p>Some limitations may apply in other provinces, as health authorities and lab regulators in some provinces have issued restrictions on how lab tests can be ordered. In some cases, they have imposed separate fees for tests ordered privately, and in other cases, they may not honour the lab requisition altogether. We have paused test ordering in these provinces to avoid challenges for patients in the lab requisition process. Please note that lab requisitions in Canada will be at the doctor&#8217;s or nurse practitioner&#8217;s discretion based on your case.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6>How do online lab tests requisitions work?<\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During your visit, your doctor or nurse practitioner will determine if you need further testing and will give you a requisition form for the tests. You can then print the form and take it to any lab that&#8217;s convenient for you.<\/p>\n<p>The results will be sent to your Maple account and you can either download them and take them to your own doctor, or request another online visit for a Maple doctor to review the results with you.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6>How long does it take to get blood test results?<\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Results can take up to two weeks to be processed and uploaded to your Maple account.
